We never imagined we will get such a wonderful opportunity to inspire young and old Aboriginal Australians from all around the country.
From Far North Queensland to the Kimberley and south to Murray Bridge, 25 Indigenous Digital Excellence (IDX) Champions from 13 communities across Australia gathered on Gadigal Country this month for the IDX Initiative’s annual Flint Facilitator camp. We were invited to provide coding and robotics training. We developed and delivered a tailored LEGO® Mindstorms® EV3 training that included the basics as well as learning to work with sensors.
We were lucky to be invited to participate in an inspiring Smoking Ceremony in the morning of the training. These community leaders and elders will now provide the training to others in their community. Needless to say that we are extremely proud to have played a part in this process.
